Array The sherrif, Eben Oleson (Josh Hartnett) gathers the survivors and try to stay alive until the sun rises again. What I think: I’m a big fan of horror movies, especially when they have vampires in it, so this was a must watch for me. I wouldn’t deny that the movie did provide with some shocks that made me jump in my seat and there was a lot of blood, but I want more of that. Blood thirsty much?I didn’t know that the movie was based on a graphic novel until this morning, so I can’t really say how true to the original the movie was.

Array
in Private Eye, 3 May 1963Most of the cartoon and satirical comment in the wake of the Vassall Inquiry report was more concerned with the government’s machinations than homosexuality.

Today after work I sat on the jetty watching the waves and surfers, I caught a few pictures…but none of them do the waves real justice.

It’s just the constant noise, smells of beer and pot, and trash all over and around their house left over from weekly parties that will be hard to miss.

Compared to the previous casts, the walking boot is a podiatric behemoth. In fact, that is the sole (no pun intended) purpose of the walking boot, to once again start walking (cue Nancy Sinatra–bad quasi-pun fully intended). And even though the walking boot does not yet prevent me from using crutches, I sometimes feel like I’m almost walking like a “normal” The thought of walking crutchless, even within the confines of the walking boot, is inspiring. I’ve even gotten quite used to the walking boot’s dramatically curved base, which causes me to feel as though I am somehow walking on a basketball. Shower Power Another reason I am so excited to have been upgraded to the walking boot is that I can now take showers. Because the walking boot is removable, I am allowed to shower. I almost convinced myself that it was a scrap of potato skin, perhaps from an old Russet potato peeled by our upstairs neighbor as he or she prepared the mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner, put down the garbage disposal and, the metal teeth of the disposal somehow failing to properly masticate the potato-flap but hungrily swallowing the peeling nonetheless, eventually regurgitated by my shower drain a good 7-10 business days later. I’m in with the In(valid) Crowd Even though I’m more mobile than I’ve been in a couple of months now, I just recently was granted a handicap parking permit. For the record, Melanie and I avoid parking in handicap parking spots if another spot is available nearby.

Before I get to the hilarity that is the Jags postgame comments, let’s start by congratulating the Hoosiers for the their bid to the Insight Bowl. A New Year’s Eve game isn’t bad for team that barely won a meaningful game all year. That depresses me for some reason. Here’s some good post game links:Don Banks KILLS the Jags (the SI headline: ‘Jags Gag Again’ made my day)Lenny P has a couple of solid pieces. Ok, so anyone who mocks the Jags is funny.Bradshaw says the Colts are just better. I think we all feel good about that. Finally, check Vic’s hilarious postmortem on the Jags game. The Jags would have to win at San Diego in the playoffs on the same weekend that Tenn/Cle beats Pittsburgh on the road or,3. The Jags would have to beat San Diego AND NE on the road and wind up the AFC Championship game.Am I missing a scenario? Keep dreaming, you old coot.Look, the Jags are now 1-6 in their last 7 against the Colts.
